The Building Law Practice is a boutique firm of, specialist solicitors with an established reputation for providing legal services to the building and engineering sectors.

We provide advice and solutions in all areas of building and engineering law, from drafting, reviewing and amending bespoke and standard form construction contracts and sub-contracts to resolving construction and engineering disputes through adjudication, mediation, negotiation, arbitration and litigation.

Our team of professional and highly experienced lawyers have an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the latest legal developments and adopt a pragmatic, commercial and cost-effective approach to solving clients’ problems. We offer a personal service and a high level of partner involvement that larger firms cannot offer. Our aim is to always be accessible and for our clients to know who is actually doing the work for them.

We combine big firm experience with boutique firm personal service. We can genuinely say that we “know” our clients and understand their needs.

Our approach to dispute resolution is entirely financially driven. There is not point pursuing a solution if it is not cost effective. That is the corner stone of how we advise our clients. We try to be as up front about prospects as we can be.

We deliberately eschew high profile, expensive marketing campaigns explaining our expertise. You will also notice a lack of glossy brochures in our offices. We also don’t have large expensive offices that look more like boutique hotels than places of work. This philosophy can be explained as follows: “We can have better offices any time you the client are ready to pay for them.” We assume you can put your money to better use.  You will likely never receive email updates about the latest cases and trends that affect the sector. All of this costs money and has to paid for somehow. Inevitably that means you, the client. We don’t think this is a good use of your money. If you want to understand why we are different and why we believe we are a good choice for your business, we think it is essential to have some element of personal contact. We prefer to meet with you and talk to you rather bombard you with emails explaining why we are great.
